RESOLUTION NO. G31.
WHEREAS, pursuant to instructions, the Chief of the
Fire Department of the City of Newport Beach, acting in con-
junction with the Fire Committee of the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, have prepared specifications for the
purchase of certain fire apparatus, to -wit: 750 gallon motor
propelled, triple combination pumping engine, water tank and
hose car; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach believes that it is for the best interests of said city
that the City, by written advertisement, invite sealed bids
or proposals for the purchase of said equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said
specifications be and they are hereby approved as written, and
the same are hereby ordered filed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Clerk of
the City of Newport Beach be and he is hereby directed and
instructed to publishea notice inviting bids for the purchase
of said equipment in NEWPORT NEWS, a newspaper of general
circulation printed and published in the City of Newport Beach,
and that said notice be published at least twice; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That all bids be opened
at a regular meeting of said City Council to be held on the
2nd day of March, 1931.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed by the City Council of the City
of.Newport Beach, at a regular meeting thereof held on the
