• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFI-
CATIONS FOR DREDGING IN NEWPORT BAY AND DIR-
ECTING THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS.
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach
do resolve as follows:-
SECTION 1.
That the plans and cross - sections submitted by
the City Engineer for the dredging and widening of the
Channel northerly of the U. S. Government Bulkhead Line
between Stations 116 & 117 being Plan No. 395, and special
Specifications No. for dredging, be and the same
are hereby adopted as the Plans and Specifications for
doing all said work herein described as more particularly
shown and described in said Plans and Specifications.
SECTION II.
That the City Clerk of said City be and is hereby

directed to .publish a notice inviting proposals for the afcEre-
said work two (2) times in the Newport News, a weekly news-
paper printed, published and circulated within said City and
is hereby designated for that purpose. The notice shall state
that all proposals or bids must be accompanied by a check
payable to the City of Newport Beach, certified by a responsible
bank for an amount which shall not be less than ten (10) per
cent of the aggregate of the bid or proposal; said proposals
to be received up to the hour of 7:30 o'clock P. M. on Monday
• the 8th day of June, 1931.
