RESOLUTION NO,
RESOLUTION IN RE: NEWPORT HEIGHTS ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
WHEREAS, the, City Council of the City of
Newport Beach has received a written petition asking that
certain territory therein described be annexed to the City of
Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California; and
WHEREAS, the said City Council has examined
the persons who circulated said petition under oath, also the
Clerk and Engineer of the City of Newport Beach under oath, in
reference thereto, and having examined into all matters and
things relating to the validity of said petition;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH hereby finds as follows:
1. That said petition has been filed under
and in pursuance of the Act of Legislature, approved April 11th,
1913, set forth in Chapter 312 of Statutes of 1913, and the
amendments thereto.
2. That the territory so proposed to be annexed)
to said City of Newport Beach is inhabited territory and is
contiguous to said City of Newport Beach.
3. That said petition has been signed by not
less than one - fourth (},) in number of the qualified electors
residing within said territory, as shown by the registration of
voters of the County of Orange, being the County in which said
territory is situated.
