• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR DREDGING OF THE ENTRANCE
CHANNEL AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO
ADVERTISE FOR BIDS.
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach
do resolve as follows:
SECTION 1.
That the plans, profiles and cores- sections submitted
by the City Engineer for dredging in the entrance channel to
Newport Bay, Plan No. 396 consisting of one sheet and the
specifications for dredging of the entrance channel to
Newport Bay, be and the same are hereby adopted as the Plans
and Specifications for doing all of said work herein described and
as more particularly shown and described in said plans and
specifications.
SECTION 11.
That the City Clerk of said City be and is hereby
directed to publish a notice inviting proposals for the aforesaid
work three (3) times in the Newport News, a weekly newspaper
printed,.priblished and circulated within said City and is hereby
designated for that purpose. The notice bhall state all proposals
or bids must be accompanied by a check payable to the City of
Newport Beach, certified by a responsible bank for an amount
which shall not be less than f*ve (51 percent of the aggregate
of the bid or proposal. The notice shall also contain the

prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by this City Council.
• The puposals or bids will be received up to the hour of 7:30 o'clock
P. M. on the 29th day of February, 1932.
