RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
• OF NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DIRECTING THE
CITY CLERK OF SAID CITY TO RE- ADVERTISE FOR
BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A WOODEN BULK
HEAD AND APPURTENANCES CONTIGUOUS TO THE
EASTERLY LINE OF BLOCK P OF TRACT NO.518,
AS PER RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO.854.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach, California, having heretofore advertised for bids for
the construction of a wooden bulk head and appurtenances and
appurtenant work adjacent and contiguous to the easterly line
of Block P of Tract No. 518, all as more particularly described
in Resolution of Intention No. 854, passed and adopted by the
City. Council of the said City on.the 24th day of September,
1934 and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said Uity,
and on the date that said bids were to be received, to -wit,
November 19th, 1934, no aids -,or proposals were presented to
the City Council pursuant to said notice;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach, as follows:
That the City Clerk be and he is hereby directed to
post conspicuously for five (5) days, on or near the Council
Chamber door of the said City Council, in the manner and form
required by law, a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids
for doing the work ordered as per Resolution No. 858,.passed
and adopted by the said City Council on the 22nd day of October,
1934; and the said City Clerk is hereby directed to cause said
notice to be published twice in the "NEWPORT NEWS," a weekly

newspaper published and circulated in said City and hereby
designated for that purpose by the City Council, inviting
such proposals or bids for doing the said work, and referring
to the specifications on file; the said bids to be received
by the said City Clerk up to the hour of seven thirty (7 :30)
o'clock P.M. of February 4th, 1935.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the city
of Newport Beach, California, at a regular adjourned meeting
thereof held on the 21st day of January, 1935, by the
following vote, to -wit:

ABSENT: Councilmen Ito tioi,
Mayor of the City of
Newport Beach, California.
