RESOLUTION NO. i%
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach a certain Indenture of Agreement
dated the u ;� day of (/ ' ' �s5r 1935, and wherein the City of
Newport Beach, a Municipal Corporation of the sixth class is
therein designated as the party of the first part, and F. M.
Strobridge and Myrtle E. Strobridge, husband and wife, are
therein designated as parties of the second part; and
WHEREAS, in said agreement the said City of Newport
Beach quitclaims and releases to the said F. M. Strobridge and
Myrtle E. Strobridge, husband and wife, that certain real
property situated in the County of Orange, State of California,
and more particularly.described as follows:
A strip of land 10 feet in width,the'easterly and
westerly lines of said strip of land being 5 feet_
easterly and-"westerly�of and parallel with the fol
lowing described center line;
Beginning at a point in the southerly line of the
County Road, which point is 220 feet westerly of the
intersection of the southerly line of said County
Road and the westerly.line of the right of way of the
Southern Pacific Railroad Company; thence South 60
9+ west to the ordinary high water line of Santa Ana
River. Also a strip of land 10 feet in width, the
easterly and westerly lines of said strip of land being
5 feet westerly and easterly of and parallel with the -
following described center line:
Beginning at a point in the southerly line of the
county road which point is 278 feet westerly of the
intersection of the southerly line of the county road
and the westerly line of the right of way of the
Southern Pacific Railroad Company; thence South 90
391 West to the ordinary high water line of the Santa Ana
River;
which said release.and quitclaim is upon the terms, covenants and
conditions therein set forth; and
WHEREAS, the said F. M..Strobridge and Myrtle E. Strobrid
husband and wife, grant to the City of Newport Beach, a certain

111 right of way for pipe line . purposes and other purposes in said
211 agreement set forth, and upon the terms and conditions in said
311 agreement set forth, and being that certain real property
411 situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and
5 more particularly described as follows:

A strip of land 12 feet in width situated in the County
of.Orange, State of California, being a portion of that
certain parcel of land described to belong to F. M. Stro-
bridge,et.ux, by decree in -an action entitled "City of
Newport Beach vs. F. M. Strobridge, et al., case #23686,
Records of the Superior Court of County of Orange, State
of California, a- certified copy of which said decree was
recorded on September 19th, 1928, in Book 201, at page
253 of Official Records of said Orange County. Said 12t
strip of land being more particularly described as
follows, to —wit:
Beginning at the southeast corner of.the parcel of land
described in deed from F. M: Strobridge and Myrtle E.
Strobridge to the State of Qalifornia, recorded May 4th,
1935, in Book 749, page 262 of Official Records, Records
of said Orange'County; thence from said point of be-
ginning south'170 321 west along the westerly line of the
property described indeed from the Southern Pacific Rail
road Company to the State of California, recorded September
17th, 1934, in Book 699, at page 370.of Official Records,
records of said Orange County, a distance of 186.47 feet;
thence south ' ,390 20 46" west a distance of 70.11 feet to
its intersection with xthe southerly line of said property
so deoreed to belong to said F. M. Strobridge et ux;
thence south 880 -541- 1" -West along said southerly line a
distance of 15.77 feet; thence north 390 20t 46" east a
distance of 78.03 feet; thence North 17® 321 east a dis-
tance of 185.33 feet to its intersection with the south-
erly line of said property described in deed from said
F. M. Strobridge et .ux t'o the.State of California recorded
in said Book 749.0 page 262 of Official Records, records
of said Orange County; thenoe.along said southerly line,
south 660 541 east a - distance of 12.061feet to the point
of beginning.
24 NOWO THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said agreement
251Ibe, and the same is.hereby approved as written by the City
. 26II0ounoil of the city of Newport Beach, and the Mayor and City
27II0lerk of said city shall, and they are hereby authorized
28 and directed to sign the same on behalf of said,City, and
29 deliver a'duly executed copy thereof to the parties of the
30 second part.
