RESOLUTION NO.
AREAS, there has this day been presented to the
City Council of the city of Newport Beach an agreement wherein
the city of Newport Beach, a municipal corporation is referred
to as the party of the first part, Pacific Electric Railway
Company is referred to as the party of the second part; and
WHEREAS, said agreement provides that the party of
the second part is granted permission by the party of the first
part to relocate, oonstruot,.maintain and operate certain pole
lines, transmission, telephone and telegraph wiree'upon certain
property heretofore deeded to the City of Newport Beach by
the Southern Pacific Railroad Company and Southern Pacific
Company, recorded in official records of Orange County,
Oalifornia;'.and
WHEREAS, it is deemed by the City Council of the city
of Newport Beach that it is for the best interests of said City
of Newport Beach that such permission be granted as aforesaid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that said agreement be executed
by the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach, on
behalf of said oity, upon the terms and conditions therein
-set forth.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the
-Oity Council of the city of Newport Beach at a regular meeting
