RESOLUTION NO. 905
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH TO FILE AN APPLICATION TO THE
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA THROUGH THE FEDERAL
EMERGENCY AD9INISTRATION OF PUBLIC WORKS FOR A
GRANT TO AID IN FINANCING THE CONSTRUCTION (F
BULKHEAD, SIDEVALK, STREET LIGHTING AND PUBLIC
PIERS ON BALBOA ISLAND, AND DESIGNATING THE CITY
ENGINEER TO FURNISH SUCH INFORMATION AS THE .
GOVERNMEN`1' MAY REQUEST.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Newport Beach,
California:
SECTION 1. That Hermann Hilmer, Mayor, is authorized to
execute And file an application on behalf of the City of
Newport Beach to the United States of America for a grant to
aid in financing the construction of concrete bulkhead, con-
crete sidewalk, ornamental street lighting and five public
piers around Balboa Island in Newport Harbor.
SECTION 2. That R. L. Patterson, City Engi#eer, is hereby
authorized and directed to furnish such information as the
United States of America through the Federal Emergency Ad-
ministration.of Public Works may reasonably request in connec-
tion with the application which is herein authorized to be
filed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting thereof, held
this 2nd day of September, 1935, by the following vote, �to-wit:
