RESOLUTION AND ORDER APPOINTING THE CITY
ENGINEER OF THE CITY OF NENPORT BEACH,
CALIFORNIA, TO PROCURE AND PREPARE CERTAIN
INFORMATION AND REPORT PURSUANT TO THE PRO-
VISIONS OF THE "SPECIAL ASSESSMEIT INVESTI-
GATION, LIMITATION AND MAJORITY PROTEST ACT
OF 19312" APPROVED JUNE 8, 19312 AS AMENDED.
WHEREAS, 1t is ex lebsee�' and it is the intention
of the Cit7 of Newport Beach proceeding under the Improvement
Act of 1911, as amended, to carr7 through proceedings for the
construction of a concrete bulkhead and appurtenances, con-
crete sidewalk, public piers, and installation of ornamental
street lighting around portions of Balboa Island, all within
the Cit7 of Newport Beach, California; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the "Special
Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majorit7 Protest Act
of 1931," approved June 8, 1931, as amended, the Cit7 Council
of the Cit7 of Newport Beach desires certain information and
report with respect to the proposed improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Engineer
of the Cit7 of Newport Beach be and he is hereb7 ordered to
furnish to the Cit7 Council of said Cit7, a written report upon
the proposed improvements herein mentioned, pursuant to the
provisions of Sections 2 and 3 of the said "Special Assessment
Investigation, Limitation and Majorit7 Protest Act of 1931,"
approved June S. 1931, as amended.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution and
order was du17 and regular17 adopted b7 the Cit7 Council of the
Cit7 of Newport Beach at a regular adjourned meeting thereof
held on thel&th dal of September, 1935, b7 the following vote,
