RESOLUTION AND ORDER APPOINTING THE
CITY ENGINEER OF THE CITY OF NEVI Q3 T
BEACH, CALIFORNIA, TO PROCURE AND
PREPARE CERTAIN INFORMATION AND REPORT
PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE
"SPECIAL ASSESSMFN T INVESTIGATION,
LIMITATION AND MAJORITY PROTEST ACT
OF 1931," APPROVED June S. 19312 AS
AMENDED.
WHEREAS, it is contemplated and it is the inten-
tion of the City of Newport Beach proceeding under the Improve-
ment Act of 1911, as amended, to carry through proceedings for
the construction of a wooden bulkhead and appurtenances to
protect Channel Road and other property in the City of Newport
Beach from over -flow of w ater, said bulkhead to be constructed
adjacent and contiguous to Block P of Tract No. 508, all within
the City of Newport Beach, California; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the "Special
Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act
of 1931," approved June S, 1931, as amended, the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach desires certain information and
report with respect to the proposed improvements;
NOW, THIREFOEE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Engineer
of the City of Newport Beach be and he is hereby ordered to
furnish to the City Council of said City, a written report
upon the proposed improvements herein mentioned, pursuant to
the provisions of Sections 2 and 3 of the said "Special Assess-
ment Investigation,'Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931,"
approved June S, 1931, as amendedo
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution and
order was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the
1 City of Newport reach at a regular adjourned meeting thereof
2 held on the 16th dal of September, 1935, b7 the following
