RESOLUTION NO. W `� -----
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the
City Council of the city of Newport Beach, a certain Easement
dated the 14th day of October, 1936, between PACIFIC ELECTRIC
RAILWAY COMPANY, a California,corporation, party of the first
(part, and THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, a Municipal corporation of
the State of California, party of the second part; and
WHEREAS, said easement provides that first party
grants to second party, easement for sewer purposes, across
that part of the right of way or property of said party of the
first part, in the County of Orange, State of California,
described as follows:
That portion of the right of way of the Pacific
Electric Railway Company, and that portion of the strip
of land 60 feet in width, first described in deed from
Los Angeles Inter -Urban Railway Company to Southern
Pacific Railroad Company, recorded on page 110, in Book
123 of Deeds, Records of said County of Orange, the
center line of said strip of land, 3 feet in width, being
described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the northeasterly line of
said strip of land, 60 feet in width, distant southeasterly
thereon 480.98 feet from the easterly boundary line of the
Rancho Las Bolsas; thence southwesterly in a direct line
to a point in the southwesterly line of said right of way
of the Pacific Electric Railway Company, distant south-
easterly thereon, 440 feet from the easterly boundary line
of said Rancho Las Bolsas.
said 3 foot strip of land above described, being shown colored
red on plat C. E. K. 2051, attached to said Easement; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed for the best interests of said
city of Newport Beach that said Easement be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and
City Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
directed and authorized to execute said Easement in the name
of and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
