RESOLUTION NO. 1015.

WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 1006, regularly passed
and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
at an adjourned regular meeting thereof held on the 30th
day of November, 193'B, the City Council directed and in-
structed J. A. Gant, City Treasurer of the City of Newport
Beach to forthwith deposit the sum of $185,780 into an
account to be designated "Construction Account ", Sewer 1936"
in the Bank of America, Balboa Branch, located in the City
of Newport Beach in Orange County, California; and
WHEREAS, the said J. A. Gant as City Treasurer of
the City of Newport Beach, did, pursuant to said Resolution
No. 1006, on the 12th day of December, 1936, deposit the said
sum of 0185,780 into an account in the Bank of America, Balboa
Branch, which said account is designated "Construction Account ",
Sewer, 1936; and
WHEREAS, the low bid received for the construction of
the sewer project exceeded the amount set up in the application
by the City of Newport Beach to the Federal Administration
of Public Works by approximately $24,000; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 1006, as aforesaid,
provided in part that any other moneys which shall be required
in addition to said $185,780 to pay the costs of constructing
the improvements in said Resolution No. 1006, shall be de-
posited by said City Treasurer in the "Construction Account"
herein mentioned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That J. A. Gant,
City Treasurer of the City of Newport Beach, be and is hereby
directed and instructed to forthwith deposit the additional suss
of $27,000 into said "Construction Account" Server 1936; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED. That said additional moneys

so deposited shall be used in accordance with the said
Resolution No. 1006 and shall be expended only for such
purposes as shall have been specified in a signed certificate
of purposes filed with and adcepted by the Government.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That a certified copy of this
resolution be sent to the Federal Emergency Administration of
Public Works by the Clerk of the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular meeting
thereof held on the 11th day of January, 1937, by the following
vote, to -wit:
