WHEREAS, HUBBARD C. HOWE and MARTHA D. HOWE, husband

and wife, have this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH,
the sum of $150.00 for Lot 20, Tract 692, Corona Del Mar,
5
as shown on Map recorded in Book 20, page 19 of Miscellaneous
6
Maps, records of Orange County, California; and
7
WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
8
as and for the purchase price of said lot; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
10
deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
11
property be sold for the said sum of $150.00; and
12
WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
13
and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
14
above described.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property
16
be sold to the said Hubbard C. Howe and Martha D. Howe, husband
17
and wife, for the sum of $150.00, free and clear of all
18
encumbrances, subject to the taxes for the second half of
19
the fiscal year 1937-39, and unpaid improvement assessments
20
of record. Also subject to conditions, restrictions and
21
reservations of record. And the Mayor and the City Clerk are
22
hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver a deed
23
for said property to the said parties upon receipt of the
24
consideration above set forth.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $15.00 be
26
paid to H. Cardoza Sloan, as and for his commission for the
27
negotiating of the sale of said real property to Hubbard C.
28
Howe and Martha D. Howe, as joint tenants, said sum being a
29
fair and reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale,
30
and said broker being a licensed realtor of the City of
31
Newport Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 7th day of February, 1938, by the following
