AREAS, a certain.Grant Deed dated the 12th day of
December, 1938, from Chas. D. Fairbanks and Bernice H.
Fairbanks., husband and wife, to the City of Newport Beach,
a Municipal corporation, granting to said City all that cer-
tain real property situated in the City of Newport Beach,
County of Orange, State of California, and more particularly
described as follows:
Lot 8 in Block 438 of Corona Del Mar, as per
map recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 42 of
Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of the County
Recorder of said County.
Subject to reservations, restrictions, ease-
ments, liens and assessments of record,
was presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
California; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
deed be accepted upon the terms and conditions therein set
forth, and other valuable considerations, including the widen-
ing of Highway No. 101 through that portion of the City of
Newport Beach, known as Corona Del Mar.
NOW, THEREFORE' BE IT RESOLVED: That said Grant deed be
accepted by the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk
be instructed to record the same forthwith with the County
Recorder of Orange County, California.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolu-
tion was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular
meeting thereof held on the 16th day of January; 1939, by the
fo ;lowing vote, to -wit:
