RESOLUTION N0. 11 1 o -
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to
the City Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain lease
dated the 15th day of January, 1940, by and between the City
of NewportBeach therein referred to as Lessor, and H. W. Stevens
therein referred to as the Lessee; and
WHEREAS, said lease provides that the Lessor leases
to Lessee upon certain terms and conditions the following
described real property, to —wit:
All that certain real property situated in the
City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California,
and more particularly described as follows:
All that portion of Lot Four (4), Section 33,
Township 6 South, Range 10 West, S.B. B. & M., described
as follows, to —wit:
Beginning at the northwesterly corner of Lot 9,
Block 218, as laid out and shown upon a Map of Section
"B ", Newport Beach, recorded in Book 4, page 27 of Mis-
cellaneous Maps; Records of Orange County, California;
running thence northerly along the easterly line of Lot
6, of said Block 218 and the northerly prolongation of
said easterly line to an intersection with the easterly
prolongation of the northerly line of Lot 4 of said
Block 218; running thence easterly along the easterly
prolongation of said northerly line of Lot 4 to an inter-
section with the northerly prolongation of the easterly
line of said Lot 9; thence southerly along the said
northerly prolongation of the easterly line of Lot 9
to the northeasterly corner of said Lot 9; thence west-
erly along the northerly line of said Lot 9 to the point
of beginning.
And WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach deems that it is for the best interests of said
City of Newport Beach that said lease be entered into, upon
the terms, conditions and for the consideration therein set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: Thatthe Mayor and
City Clerk of the City of NewportBeach be, and they are hereby
directed, authorized and instructed to execute said lease in
thefiame of and on behalf of the city of Newport Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing

regular meeting thereof held on the 15th day of January, 1940,
