3 WHEREAS, J. C. LAMB, as Tax Collector of the County
4 of Orange, did on January 26th, 1940, notify the City Council
5 of the city of Newport Beach that his office had received an
6 offer to purchase at public auction, lots 1 to 6 inclusive, in
7 Block 45 of Third Addition to the City of Newport Beach; and
8 WHEREAS, in accordance with the law in such cases made
9 and provided the City Council of the city of Newport Beach
10 objects to the sale of said property at public auction or
otherwise.

12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council
13 of the city of Newport Beach notify the said J. C. Lamb, as
Tax Collector of the County of Orange, that the said City of
14
Newport Beach objects to the saleof said property at public
15
auction, or at all.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That a certified copy of
17
this resolution be filed with the said J. C. Lamb, as Tax
18
Collector of the County of Orange, and the City Clerk is hereby
19
authorized, directed and instructed to file said certified
20
copy of this resolution immediately with the said J. CA Lamb,
21
as Tax Collector of Orange County, California.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
23
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
24
the city of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
25
5th day of February, 1940, by the follow ng ote, to.wit:
