WHEREAS,
a certain Grant Deed dated the day of
3
February, 1940,
from the City of Newport Beach, a Municipal
4
corporation, to
Ruby Suman, a single woman, granting to said
5
Ruby Suman all
that certain real property situated in the
6
City of Newport
Beach, County of Orange, State of California,
7
and more particularly described as follows, to —wit:
8
Lot 5 in
Block 438 of Corona Del Max, as per map
recorded
in Book 3, pages 41 and 42 of Miscel-
9
laneous Maps, Records of said County.

Together
with the Southeasterly one —half of the
alley lying
northwesterly of and adjoining said
11
land, as
shown on said map.

was presented to
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach;
13
and
14 WHEREAS, the City Council deems that the consideration
15 offered for said Grant Deed is fair, just and adequate and not
16 disproportionate to the actual value of said property; and
17 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
18 deems that it is for the best interests of said City of Newport
19 Beach that said Grant Deed be executed in favor of Ruby Suman,
20 by the Mayor and City Clerk of said City.
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City
22 Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
23 directed, instructed and authorized to execute said Grant Deed
24 on behalf of the City of Newport Beach, and the City Clerk is
25 instructed to deliver the same to Ruby Suman.
