RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, a certain Grant Deed dated the day of
February, 1940, from the city of Newport Beach, a Municipal corp
ation, to Ruby Suman, a single woman, granting to said Ruby Suman
all that certain real property situated in the city of Newport
Beach, County of Orange, State of California, and more parts
described as follows:
Lot 7 in Block 438 of Corona Del Mar, as per map
recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 42 of Miscellaneous
Maps, Records of said county.
Together with the southwesterly 16 feet of the south-
easterly one -half of the alley lying northwesterly of
and adjoining said lot, as shown on said Map,
was presented to the City Council of the city of Newport Beach;
WHEREAS, the City Council deems that the consideration
offered for said Grant Deed is fair, just and adequate and not
disproportionate to the actual value of said property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said City of Newport
Beach that said Grant Deed be executed in favor of Ruby Suman,
by the Mayor and City Clerk of said city.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City
Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby directed
and instructed to execute said Grant Deed on behalf of the City of
Newport Beach, and the City Clerk is instructed to deliver the same
to Ruby Suman.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the city of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
5th day of February, 1940, by the following to Tto -wit:
