2 11 WHEREAS, MARTHA J. ALLEN, a widow, has this day offered
3 11 to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the sum of $300.00 for Lot 12, Block
4 11139, Re- Subdivision 6f Corona del Mar in the�City of Newport Beach,
5 1;&s shown on Map'regorded in Book 4; page 6.7,of Miscellaneous Maps,
6 1records_of.Orangc County; California; and
7 1 WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
8 11 as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
9 11 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
10 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
11 property be sold for the said sum of $300.00; and
12 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
13 Iland is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
14 11above described.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
16 sold to the said Martha J. Allen, a widow, for the sum of $300.00
17 free and clear of all encumbrances, subject to the second half of
18 taxes for the fiscal year 1939 -40 and unpaid improvement assessmen
19 of record. Also subject to conditions, restirctions and reserva-
20 tions of record. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authoriz
21 and directed to execute and deliver a deed for said property to
22 the said party upon receipt of the consideration above set forth.
23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $30.00 be paid
24 to Arthur H. Pease, as and for his commission for the negotiating
25 of the sale of said real property to Martha J. Allen, a widow,
26 said sum being a fair and reasonable commission to be allowed in
27 said sale, and said broker being a licensed realtor of the City of
28 Newport Beach.
