WHEREAS, a certain Quitclaim Deed dated the 4th day of
March, 1940, from the City of Newport Beach, a Municipal Corpor-
ation of the sixth class, to RUSSEL EVANS, quitclaiming,releasing
and remising to said Russel Evans all that certain real property
situated in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of
California, and more particularly described as follows:
Lots 1 and 2, including portion of street adjoining,
Block D; Lots 1, 2 and 6, including portion of street
and alley adjoining, Block E; Lot 1, including por-
tion of street and alley adjoining, Lot 5, including
portion of alley adjoining, Block F; Lot 1, Block G;
all in E1 Moro Tract, as shown on Map recorded in Book
S, page 75 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange
County, California.
was presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach; a
WHEREAS, the City Council deems that the consideration
offered for said Quitclaim Deed is fair, just and adequate and not
disproportionate to the actual value of the interest which the Ci
of Newport Beach has in and to said property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said City of Newport
Beach that said Quitclaim Deed be executed in favor of Russel
Evans, by the Mayor and City Clerk of said City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and Ci
Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby direct
and authorized to execute said Quitclaim deed on behalf of the Ci
of Newport Beach, and the City Clerk is instructed to deliver the
same to Russel Evans.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolut
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
4th day of March, 1940, by the following vote, to -wit:
