WHEREAS, a certain Quitclaim Deed dated the 4th day of
2 March, 1940 from the City of Newport Beach, a Municipal corporatio
3 of the sixth class, to TED Q. THOMSON, quitclaiming, releasing
4 and remising to said Ted Q. Thomson all that certain real property
5 situated in the City of Newport Beach. County of Orange, State of
6 California, and more particularly described as follows:
7 Lot 5, Block 4, East Newport, as shown on a Map
recorded in Book 3, page 37 of Miscellaneous
8 Maps, records of Orange County, California.
9 was presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach; an
10 WHEREAS, the City Council deems that the consideration
11 offered for said Quitclaim Deed is fair, just and adequate and not
12 disproportionate to the actual value of the interest which the Cit
13 of Newport Beach has in and to said property; and

14 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
15 deems that it is for the best interests of said city of Newport
16 Beach that said Quitclaim Deed be executed in favor of Ted Q.
17 Thomson, by the Mayor and City Clerk of said City.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City
19 Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby directe
20 and authorized to execute said Quitclaim deed on behalf of the Cit
21 of Newport Beach, and the City Clerk is instructed to deliver the
22 same to Ted Q. Thomson.
23 I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
24 was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
25 the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on
26 March 4th, 1940, by the following vote, to -wit:
