RESOLUTION NO.
1
2 WHEREAS, ROBERT BARRINGER KROST, BESSE BROWN KROST, and
3 ELISABETH CAROLINE NELSON, have this day offered to the CITY OF
4 NEWPORT BEAOH, the sum of $450.00 for Lot 14 and the Southwesterly
5 one -half of Lot 16, Block 139, Resubdivision of Corona del Mar,
6 in the City of Newport Beach, as shown on Map recorded in Book 4,
7 page 67 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, Californi ;
8 and
9 WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price as
10 and for the purchase price of said lots; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
12 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
13 property be sold for the said sum of $450.00; and
14 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
15 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
16 above described.
17 HOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
18 sold to the said Robert Barringer KTOSt, Besse Brown Krost and
19 Elisabeth Caroline Nelson, for the sum of $450.00, free and clear
20 of all encumbrances, subject to the second half of taxes for the
21 fiscal year 1939 -40 and unpaid improvement assessments of record.
22 Also subject to conditions, restrictions and reservations of
23 record. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and
24 directed to execute and deliver a deed for said property to the
25 said parties upon receipt of the consideration above set forth.
26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $45.00 be paid
27 to H. Cardoza Sloan, as and for his commission for the negotiating
28 of the sale of said real property to Robert Barringer Krost, Bess
29 Brown Krost and Elisabeth Caroline Nelson, each an undivided one -
30 third interest, said sum being a fair and reasonable commission t
31 be allowed in said sale, and said broker being a licensed realtor
32 11 of the City of Newport Beach.

2 was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
3 theCity of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on
4 the let day of April, 1940 by the following vote, to -wit:
