1 WHEREAS, a certain Quitclaim Deed dated the 16th day of

ecember, 1940 from the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, a Municipal Corporati n
3
f the sixth class, to JOHN P. HORMEN, a single man, quitclaiming,
4
eleasing and remising to said John P. Hormen all that certain real
5
roperty situated in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange,
6
tate of California, and more particularly described as follows:

Lots 25, 26 and 27, Block 220, Section A,
8 as shown on a Map recorded in Book 4, page
21 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange
9 County, California.
10 was presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council deems that the consideration
12 offered for said Quitclaim Deed is fair, just and adequate and not
13 disproportionate to the actual value of the interest which the
14 City of Newport Beach has in and to said property; and

15 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
16 deems that it is for the best interests of said City of Newport
17 Beach that said Quitclaim deed be executed in favor of John P.
18 Hormen, by the Mayor and City Clerk of said City.
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City
20 Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby directed
21 and authorized to execute said Quitclaim Deed on behalf of the City
22 of Newport Beach, and the City Clerk is instructed to deliver same
23 to John P. Hormen.
24 I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
25 was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
26 I the City of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular meeting thereof
27 held on the 16th day of December, 1940 by the following vote, to -wi
