RESOLUTION NO. I0e6�
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain agreement dated
the 6th day of January, 1941, by and between Chas. Wilson, as
party of the first part, and the -City of Newport Beach, as party
of the second part; and
WHEREAS, said agreement provides that the party of the
second part hires and retains the party of the first part for
the drilling of a well for domestic water supply on the follow-
ing described real property, to -wit: the Northwest quarter of
Section Eight, Township 6 South, Range 10 Nest, S. B. B. & M,, in
accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by the
City Engineer of the City of Newport Beach and on file with the
City Clerk of said City, for the doing of said work, a copy of
which specifications is attached to said agreement and made a
part thereof; and
WHEREAS, said agreement specifically sets forth the
terms, conditions and price for the doing of said work; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
agreement be executed, and that the work therein specified be
done by the party : of the first part, upon the terms and
conditions in said agreement set forth.
NOR, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the mayor and
City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are
hereby directed, instructed and authorized to execute said
agreement in the name of and on behalf of the City of Newport
Beach, and that a duly executed copy thereof be delivered by
the City Clerk to the parties of the fixt part in said agreement
