3 WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the
4 City Council of the City of Newport Beach, anagreement, dated
5 the 6th day of January, 1941, wherein State Steel Products, Inc.
6 was therein -named party of the first part, and the City of
.7 Newport Beach, was therein named party of the second part; and
8 WHEREAS, the party of the first part agreed to sell
9 and•the party of the second part agreed to purchase from party
10 of the first part, at the prices hereinafter stated, the follow -
11 ing equipment and materials, to-wit:

19 And, WHEREAS, in the opinion of the City Council of
20 the City of Newport Beach, said agreement is in all respects
21 just and fair, and said agreement was made pursuant to written
22 notice inviting bids, and the award of bid made thereafter.
23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Mayor
24 and the City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they
25 are hereby directed, instructed and authorized to execute said
26 agreement in the name and on behalf of the City of Newport
27 Beach,
28 I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
29 duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City
30 of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
31 6th day of January, 1941, by the following vote, to -wit:
