RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain contract dated
January 30, 1941, between the Standard Oil Company of California,
therein referred to as Seller, and the City of Newport Beach,
therein referred to as Buyer; and
WHEREAS, said contract provides that the Seller sells
to Buyer all gasoline to be used by Buyer for the period of one
year commencing as of February 10th, 1941, and ending February
9, 1942, to be delivered to Buyer at Newport Beach, California,
as the following prices, to—wit:
Standard's Supreme Gasoline (with Ethyl) .... 0004 per gal.
Standard Gasoline .0863 per gal
Flight Gasoline.... .0823 per gal
And WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach deems that it is for the best interests of said City that
said contract be entered into with said Seller upon the terms and
conditions therein specified.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and
City Clerk be, and they are hereby directed, authorized and
instructed to execute said contract in the name of and on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk deliver a
duly executed copy thereof to the Seller therein named.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 3rd day
27 of February, 1941, by the following vote, to-wit:
