RESOLUTION NO. l9
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain Fuel Oil Contract
dated. the 30th day of Jan uery, 1941, between the Standard Oil
Company of California, a corporation, therein called Seller, and
City of Newport Beach, therein called Buyer; and
WHEREAS, said contract provides that the Seller sells
to the Buyer for delivery during the twelve months period ending
February 9th, 1942, stove oil, burner oil and diesel fuel, to be
used by Buyer, at the following prices:
Standard Stove Oil ............ .0625 per gallon
Standard Burner Oil........... .0525 per gallon
Standard Diesel Fuel.......... .0525 per gallon
And WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach deems that it is for the best interests of said City that
said contract be entered into with said Seller, upon the terms and
conditions therein set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and
City Clerk be, and they are hereby directed, authorized and
Instructed to execute said contract in the name of and on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk deliver a
duly executed copy thereof to the Seller therein named.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by.the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
3rd day of February, 1941, by the follow ng (;Ote, to-wit:
