WHEREAS, there As this'day been presented to the City
Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain contract dated the
30th day of January, 1941, between the Standard 011 Company of
California, a corporation, therein referred to as Seller, and
the City of Newport Beach, therein referred to as Buyer; and
WHEREAS, said contract provides that the Seller sells
to the Buyer all of Buyer's requirements of kerosene used or bought
to be used by Buyer, the point of delivery being the City of New-
port Beach, and the price per gallon to be 6.0687. That the
period of said contract shall be for one year commencing as of
February 10th, 1941, and ending February 9th, 1942; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said city that said
kerosene be purchased from the Seller at the price specified,
and upon the terms and conditions as in said contract set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED. That the Mayor and
City Clerk be and they are hereby directed, authorized and
instructed to execute said contract in the name of and on behalf
of the city of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk deliver a
duly executed copy thereof to the Seller therein named.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the city of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
3rd day of February, 1941, by the following vote, t`a -wit:
