1 RESOLUTION NO.
2 WHEREAS, a'Grant Deed from GUY L. CHAPMAN and LETA PAULINE
3 CHAPMAN. husband wife, as joint tenants, to the City of Newport
4 Beach, a Municipal corporation, dated the 12th day of December,
5 1940, granting to the City of Newport Beach all that certain real
6 property situated in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange,
7 State of California, and more particularly described as follows,
8 to -wit:
9 The right of way for alley purposes and public utility
purposes, over, upon, under and across all of the south one -half
10 of that certain alley, 20 feet in width, adjoining Lot 14 in Block
109 of Section B. Newport Beach, as shown on a map recorded in
11 Book 4, page 27 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County,
California.

13 was presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
14 California; and
15 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
16 deems that the consideration for said deed is fair, just and
17 adequate.
18 WHEREUPON, Councilman

19 seconded by Councilman AJM�`o.v and carried, that said
20 Grant Deed be accepted by said city, and the City Clerk instructed
21 to record the same forthwith with the County Recorder of Orange
22 County, California.
23 That said motion was carried by he o.lowing vote, to -wit:
