MMRPAS, there has this (day been presented to the
City Council of the city of Nermort Bor-ch €> cortain agreement
dated the 24th day of March, 1961, by and batween the Griffith
Company, n corporation, therein referre3 to Ps the party a' the
first tart, and. the City of Nenport 2eQch, therein referred. to
as the party of the second part; and
CI'FLeM AS, said agreement provides that the party of the
second part hires and retr.ins the party of the first pert for the
furnishing of all required labor, material, transportation tend
services for the grading and paving with shale of an automobile
parking area located at Palm Street and Ocean Front in the city
of 'el!r^ort Beach, in accordance with thA plans and specifications
prepared by the City Engineer of the city of Newport Be�.ch anJ on
file pith the City Clerk of said city, for the doing of sni-I i.,ork
or improvement, a copy of which specifications is attached to se^iR
agreement and made a part thereof; and
said agreement specifically sets forth the
terms, conditions and price for the doing of said pork; -n1
WHETS, the City Council of the city of ',le—ort Bench
deems that it is for the best interests ofsaid city that sAC--
agreement be ex ^cuted, rnd that the :pork therein spaeified be dons
by the party of the first part upon the terms and eondtione
therein set forth.
kU ^.,, THEREFOR&O BE IT HESOLVZD: That the labor ?tnt
City Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are h ^reby
directed, authorized and instructed to execute said agreement
in the name of and on behalf of the city of Nowport Beach, and
thet the City Clr^rk furnish a duly executed copy thereof to the
party of the first part in said agreement maned.
