HomeMy WebLinkAbout2147 - Construction of Water Pipe Line►._J 0 1 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 RESOLUTION i WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain agreement dated March 24th, 1941, between the city of Newport Beach as party of the first part, and J. R. Owens, as party of the second part; and WHEREAS, said agreement provides that the City of Newport Beach will construct for the use and benefit of the party of the second part a certain dock in said agreement more particularly described, and also to put in a roadway leading to said dock, and will also construct and erect a water pipe line to the outer end of said dock, all of which improvements are to be used by the party of the second part for the use of his yacht "MELODIE" ; and WHEREAS, said first party further agrees to construct a comfort station in the vicinity of said dock and also_to construct and erect a garage or storehouse adjacent to said aforementioned roadway; and WHEREAS, said first part leases and lets said dock, garage or storehouse and improvements to second party for a period of three years from and after 1941, at a yearly rental of $811.00, payable as in said agreement specifically set forth; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Newport Beach deems that it is for the best interests of said city that said agreement be entered into with the party of the second part, and that the consideration therein specified is fair and adequate. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby directed, instructed and authorized to execute said agreement in LAW OFFICES OF ROLANO THOMPSON 1 210 SPVNGEON BVILOING S..T.
