3 WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
4 Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain license agreement
5 dated April 7th, 1941, between the city of Newport Beach as first
6 party, and E. G. Greeley as second party; and
7 WHEREAS, said license provides that the first party gran
8 to the second party a license to operate and conduct the City Dump
9 Grounds upon certain conditions and specifications set forth in
10 said agreement, and for the time specified therein; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
12 deems that it is for the best interests of the City of Newport

Beach that said license be granted upon the terms and conditions
therein specified.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said contract be
and the same is hereby approved as written by the City Council
of the city of Newport Beach, and the Mayor and City Clerk of the
city of Newport Beach are hereby directed, authorized and instruct
ed to sign and execute said contract on behalf of said city, and
the Clerk is directed to have the party of the second part execute
said contract and the same shall thereupon be filed and become a
valid contract as between said parties.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly passed by the City Council of the city of Newport
Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th day of April,
19410 by the following vote, to —wit:
