1 RESOLUTION NO.

3 WHEREAS, BORGHILD L. STEPHENS, an unmarried woman, has
4 this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the sum of $262.50
5 for Lot 22 and the Southwesterly one /half of Lot 24, Block 241,
6 Corona del Mar, in the City of Newport Beach, as shown on a Map
7 recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 42 of Miscellaneous Maps, records
8 I of Orange County, California; and
9 WHEREAS, the Baid price is a fair and adequate price
10 as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
11
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
12 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
13 property be sold for the said sum of $262.50; and
14 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate

15 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
16 above described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be

18 sold to the said Borghild L. Stephens, an unmarried woman, as her

19 separate property, for the sum of $262.50, free and clear of all
20 encumbrances, subject to the taxes for the fiscal year 1941 -42
21 and unpaid improvement assessmentw of record. Also subject to
22 conditions, restrictions and reservations of record. The Mayor
23 and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute
24�Jand deliver a deed for said property to the said party upon
25 Ireceipt of the consideration above set forth.
26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $65.63 be paid
27 to Ralph P7 Maskey, as and for his commission for the negotiating
28 of the sale of said real property to Borghild L. Stephens, an
29 unmarried woman, as her separate property, said sum being a fair
30 and reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale, and said
31 broker being a licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular meeting thereof
held on the 28th day of April, 1941, by the following vote to -wit:
