3 WHEREAS, LILA ALFORD and MAX M. ALFORD, mother and son '
4 have this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the sum of
5 $350.00 for Lots 20 and 22, Block 240, Corona del Mar, in the City
8 of Newport Beach, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 3, pages 41
7 and 42 of Miscellaneous Maps, r4cords of Orange County, California;
8 and
9 WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
10 as and for the purchase price of said lots; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
12 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
13 property be sold for the said sum of $350.00; and
14 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
15 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
16 it above described.
17�� NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
18 sold to the said Lila Alford and Max M. Alford, mother and son,
19 for the sum of $350.00, free and clear of all encumbrances, subject
20 to the taxes for the fiscal year 1941 -42 and unpaid improvement
21 assessments of record. Also subject to conditions, restrictions
22 and reservations of record. The Mayor and the City Clerk are
23 hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver a deed for
24 said property to the said parties upon receipt of the consideration
25 1 above set forth.
28 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $87.50 be paid
27 to Ralph P. Maskey, as and for his commission for the negotiating
28 of the sale of said real property to Lila Alford and Max P. Alford,
29 mother and son, as joint tenants, said sum being a fair and reason -
30 able commission to be allowed in said sale, and said broker being
31 a licensed realtor of the City.of Newport Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the Cbty Council of
the City of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular meeting thereof
held on the 25th day of April, 1941 by the following vote, to -wit:
