WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the

City Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain Agreement of
5
Option dated December 31, 1942, between the City of Newport Beach
6
as party of the first part, and R. E. Deeble of Long Beach,
7
California, as party of the second part; and
8
WHEREAS, said Agreement of Option provides that in
9
consideration of $1000,00, the first party gives to the second
10
party the option to purchase certain lots in said Agreement of
11
Option more particularly described, and all situated in Tract 772
12
of the City of Newport Beach, said option to be exercised within
13
six months from date; and
14
WHEREAS, the total purchase price of said property
15
is the sum of $10,000,00; and
16
WHEREAS, it is the opinion and judgment of the City
17
Council of the city of Newport Beach that it is for the advantage
18
and best interests of the city of Newport Beach that said option
19
be granted to second party, and that the price therein set forth
20
is in all respects just, fair and adequate and not disproportionate
21
to the actual market value of said property,
22
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and
23
City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be and they are hereby
24.
directed, authorized and instructed to execute said Agreement of
25
Option in the name of and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach,
26
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolutic
27
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
28
the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
29
4th. day of January, 1943, by the following vote, to -wit:
