WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain Grant Deed dated
the 16th day of December, 1942, from BERTHA HELENE NELSON to the
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, a municipal corporation of the sixth
class, granting to the City of Kewport Beach all that certain
real property situated in the City of Newport Beach, County of
Orange, State of California, and more particularly described as
follows, to -wit:
The South - easterly 30 feet of the North - westerly
156 feet of Block "U" of "East Side Addition to
Balboa Tract ", as shown on a Map recorded in
Book 4, page 20 of Miscellaneous Maps, records
of Orange County, California, being the ocean
frontage to Lot Five (5) in Block Eighteen (18)
of said East Side Addition to the Balboa Tract.
WHEREUPON, Councilman 1211m., made a motion,
duly seconded by Councilman I54e`/ and carried, that said
Grant Deed be accepted by the City of Newport Beach and that the
City Clerk be instructed forthwith to record the same with the
County Recorder of Orange County, California.
That said motion was carried by the following vote,
Ito -wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN:_ ALLEN, KIRK, ISBELL,
REED, HALL.
NOES, COUNCILMEN: NONE
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: NONE
I hereby certify the above to be a true extract of the
minutes of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach at a
regular meetirg thereof held on the 4th day of January, 1943.
