4,HEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain agreement wherein
the City of Newport Beach is referred to as the "City", and
Glenn Croft and T. J. Neville, a co- partnership, 1201 Coast
Highway, Newport Beach, California, is therein referred to as
the "Contractor "; and
WHEREAS, said agreement provides that the party of the
second part has been awarded the contract by the party of the
first part for the doing of certain work of repair, to -wit: For
the furnishing of all required labor., material, transportation
and services for the construction of reinforced cement concrete
sheet pile bulkhead adjacent to the Lido Isle bridge, in the
City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS. the said Croft �, Neville were the lowest re-
sponsible bidders for the doing of said work, and the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach has awarded the contract
to them for the doing of said work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the L.ayor and City
Clerk of the City of Itiewport Beach be, and they are hereby
directed, instructed and authorized to execute said agreement
in the name of and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach, and that
the City Clerk deliver a duly executed copy thereof to the party
of the second part.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on 'the { day
of JanuGry, 1944, by the following vote, to -wit:
