WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach entered into a

Memorandum of Agreement for accumulation of 1/4 cent gas tax
5
for Streets of Major Importance with the State of California
6
Department of Public Works on July 16th, 1945; and
7
WHEREAS, the City Engineer presented to the City
8
Council on December 3rd, 1945, a Project Statement requesting
9
the allocation of all available 1/4 cent gas tax funds for
10
Streets of Major Importance, for the acquisition of right of way
11
for widening of Coast Boulevard between 22nd Street and the
12
westerly city limits; and
13
WHEREAS, it is necessary to acquire certain right
14
of way for the widening of Coast Boulevard, a street of major
15
importance;
16
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City
17
Engineer is hereby authorized, directed and instructed to make
18
application on behalf of the City of Newport Beach to the
19
Director of Public Works of the State of California, for the
20
allocation of $15,632.43 of 1/4 cent gas tax funds for the
21
acquisition of right of way for the widening of Coast Boulevard.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
24
duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the
25
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
26
3rd day of December, 1945, by the following votey, to -wit:
