RESOLUTION NO.
1 WHEREAS, Charles H. Peaks and Helene G. Peaks,
2 husband and wife as joint tenants, have this day offered to the
3 CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the sum of $300.00 for Lots d and 24,
4 Block 45, River Section, in the City of Newport Beach, as shown
5 on a Map recorded in Book 4, Page 25 of Miscellaneous Maps,
6
records of Orange County, California; and
7
S WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
9 as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
11 deems that it is for the beat interests of said City that said
12 property be sold for the said sum of $300.00; and
13 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
14 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
15 above described.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
17 sold to the said Charles H. Peaks and Helen G. Peaks, husband and
18 wife as joint tenants, for the sum of $300.00, free and clear of
19 all encumbrances; subject to the last half of taxes for 1944 »45.
20 Also subject to conditions, restrictions and reservations of
21 record. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and
22
directed to execute and deliver a deed for the said property to
23
the said party upon receipt of the consideration above set forth.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $100.00 be paid
25
26 to Ralph P. Maskey, as and for his commission for the negotiating
27 of the sale of said real property to Charles H. Peaks and Helen G.
28 Peaks, husband and wife as joint tenants, the said sum being a
29 fair and reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale, and
30 said broker being s licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.
31 I hereby certify that the above and foregoing
32 Resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach,
