WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach, a certain Grant Deed dated
May 1st, 1945, from Gerald W. Ritchie and Beulah B. Ritchie,
husband and wife, as joint tenants with the right of survivorship,
wherein said Gerald W. Ritchie and Beulah B. Ritchie grants to the
City of Newport Beach a right of way or easement for the purpose
of the erections laying and construction of a pipe line or pipe
lines to convey sewage, together with manholes and appurtenances,
with the right of going in, under and over the premises hereinafter
described for the purpose of repairing, maintenance, and replace-
ment of said pipe lines, manholes and appurtenances, in, over and
under that certain real property described as follows, to -wit:
A parcel of land six (6) feet in width lying
three (3) feet on each side of and adjacent to
the following described center line:
Beginning at a point in a Northeasterly line of
Lot 20, Block 331, as shown upon a map of Corona
Del Mar, recorded in Book 3, Pages 41 and 42 of
Miscellaneous Mapsq Records of Orange County,
California; which point is 37.08 feet Southeasterly
from the most Northerly corner of said Lot 20, run-
ning thence North 860 11' 40° West 107.90 feet to an
intersection with the Northwesterly line of Carnation
Avenue vacated by Ordinance 297 of the City of
Newport Beach, recorded in Book 1099, Page 237 of
Official Records of Orange County. Said point of
intersection being 63.71 feet Southwesterly of North-
easterly corner of Block 330 as shown upon said map
of Corona Del Mar.
WHEREUPON, Councilman a made a
motion, duly seconded by Councilman and
carried, that said Grant Deed be accepted by said City of Newport
Beach, and the Clerk instructed to record the same forthwith with
the County Recorder of Orange County, California.
That said motion was carried by the followin vote, to -wit:
