RESOLLTION NO. aAw
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented by the United
States of America to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
a certain indenture of lease between the City of Newport Beach and
the United States Government; and
WHEREAS, said lease refers to the leasing of oerteAn real
property belonging to the City of Newport Beach by the United Statesi
Government for governmental purposes; and
WHEREAS, the lands described in said lease are not at
ent needed for municipal purposes and are needed by the United
States Government in furtherance of the war effort and for military
purposes; and
WHEREAS, the consideration offered for the execution of
said lease is, in the opinion of the city council of the City of
Newport Beach fair, just and adequate and that it would be for the
best interests of said city that said lease be executed on behalf of
the city in favor of the said United States Government;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk of said City be authorized, directed and instructed to sign
said leases in triplicate on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of
July, 1945, by the following vote, to -wit:
