WHEREAS, the City Attorney of the City of Newport Beach

has this day prepared and presented to the City Council of the City

of Newport Beach a certain license agreement between the City of Nevi
5
port Beach and O.W.Drant, which license agreement refers to the gray.
6
ing to C.W.Drant by the City of Newport Beach of the exclusive li-
7
cense and privilege of loading and unloading passengers to and from
8
sport fishing boats owned by said Licensee, at the oity -owned pier
9
oceanward of McFadden Street; and
10
WHEREAS, the consideration offered for said license is.in
11
the opinion and judgment of the City Council of the City of Newport
12
Beach, fair, just and adequate for the license granted to said lice
13
see, and that it is for the best interests of said City and the in-
14
habitants thereof that said license be given to said licensee upon
15
the terms, conditions, and rentals in said license agreement speci-
16
fied and set forth;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
18
the City of Newport Beach instructs, authorizes and directs the May
19
of said City to sign said license agreement in the name of and on
20
behalf of said City, and that the City Olerk be authorized to attes�
21
said agreement with the seal of said City affixed thereto; and that
22
upon the execution of said agreement by both the City and the Licen-
23
see, an executed copy thereof be delivered to Licensee and the other
24
executed copy be filed with the Clerk of said City.

was duly and regularly passe and )adopted by the City Council of the
