• RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED
ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach, California, a Petition
requesting the annexation of the territory hereinafter described
to the City of Newport Beach;
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, as follows:
1. That it is proposed to annex to the City of
Newport Beach, California, that certain territory contiguous
to the City boundaries, which territory is more particularly
described on "Exhibit A ", annexed hereto and by reference made
a part hereof.
2. That said territory lies adjacent to and
Westerly of that section of the City known as Tract No. 444 and
First Addition to Newport Heights and between the State Highway
and Old County Road and Westminster Avenue; and said territory
comprises approximately 14 acres.
ry 3. That notice is further hereby given that
the day of , 1946, at the hour of M.
of said day , in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, in the
City of Newport Beach, is the time and place when and where any
person owning real property within said territory so proposed
to be annexed and having any objections to the proposed annex-
ation, may appear before the City Council and show cause why
such territory should not be so annexed.
4. That upon such annexation, the City shall:
(a) At such time hereafter as the final map of said
subdivision is approved and filed, that the City will accept the
dedication of the streets contained within the area of said
subdivision.
(b) Approve said subdivision and plan of develo men

(c) Within a reasonable time from the date of annex-
ation, the City will extend the City's water line to the boundary
of the proposed annexation, in order that connection therewith
may be made by the subdivider for the supplying of water to said
subdivision.
(d) The City shall not levy nor assess any taxes
against the annexed territory to pay for any present outstanding
• bonded debt of said City of Newport Beach.
(e) Zone said annexed property as indicated on the

The City Clerk shall cause a copy of the foregoing
Resolution to be published at least once a week for two success-
ive weeks in the Newport Balboa News - Times, a newspaper of
general circulation published in the City of Newport Beach,
California.
