RESOLUTION NO

WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City

Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain agreement dated

Newport Beach, a municipal corporation, therein referred to as
6
"City", and Girl Scout Association of Newport Harbor, a Cali-
7
fornia corporation, of Newport Beach, California, therein referred
8
to as the "Club "; and

WHEREAS, said Agreement provides that the City has leased
10
to the Club, certain real property located in the City of Newport
11
Beach, more particularly described in said Agreement, for the
12
purpose of erecting and constructing a building on said lands,
13
which building and the lands surrounding the same will be used for
14
educational, civic, recreational and community purposes, and will
15
be generally offered to the public for recreational, civic, com-
16
munity and educational purposes; and
17
WHEREAS, said agreement specifically sets forth the rents,
18
covenants and agreements on thepart of the Club to be kept and
19
performed; and
20
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach deems
21
that it is for the best interests of said City that said Agreement
22
be executed, and that the construction therein specified be done
23
by the Club upon the terms and conditions therein specified;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; that the Mayor and City
25
Clerk of the City of Newport Beach bey and they are hereby direct -
26
ed, authorized and instructed to execute said Agreement on behalf
27
of the City of Newport Beach, and that a duly executed copy there-
28
of be delivered by the City Clerk to the Club.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
31
and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City
32
of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the !7�'
