FESOLUTION SUBMITTING TO VOTERS OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AT THE GENERAL,
MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD APP-TL 139
19489 THE gUESTION OF PROVIDING FOR THE
LEVY MID COLLECTION, FOR THE PURPOSE OF
PROVIDING AND MAINTAINING PARKS IN THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, OF A CERTAIN TAX.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH DO RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That at the general municipal election to be
held in the City of Newport Beach on the 13th day of April, 1948,
there shall be submitted to the qualified electors of said City,
the proposition of the levy and collection for the purpose of pro-
viding and maintaing parks in the City of Newport Beach, for each
fiscal year, of a tax of fifteen cents (15¢) on each 0100.00 of
the assessed valuation of all property in the City of Newport
Beach.
SECTION 2: That said proposition shall be submitted to the
qualified electors of said City at said election by a proposition
to be worded as follows:
"PROPOSITION NO. 1
Shall Ordinance No. 574 of the City of Newport
Beach, providing for the levy and collection, for
the purpose of providing and maintaining parks
in the City of Newport Beach, for each fiscal year,
of a tax of fifteen cents (15¢) on each 0100.00 of
the assessed valuation of all property in the City
of Newport Beach which is taxable therein for munici-
pal purposes, and repealing Ordinance No. 380 of the
City of Newport Beach, be adopted,"
SECTION 3: If a majority of the electors voting at such
election shall vote in favor of the foregoing proposition, then
said ordinance shall be passed as provided for by Proposition No,
of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach.

regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
