AUTHORIZING AMUTIOA AF A01MMARMT rLW OF.
WHP=AS, pursuant to Aotice Inviting Bids for the construction of a
fire station at Corona del Mar, City of 7 =wort Beach, heretofore duly given,
sealed proposals and bids thereof where duly received and subsequently opened
at the time and place set for said proposal and it appears that the lowest
regular and responsible bidder is Gordon B. Findlay; and
WHEREAS, there has been duly presented to the City Council of the
City of Newport beech, a certain agreement dated the 28th day of March, 1949,
by and between said Gordon B. Findlay as pasty of the first part and the City
of Newport Beach as party of the second part, providing for the constructioa
of said fire statioa;
NOW THUNSCB,b BE IT RESOLM, that the bid of said Gordon B. Findlay
for the construction of a fire station in Corona del Mar, City of Newport Beach
for the total sus of $17,71440 be and the same to hereby accepted and;
BE IT FURTMR HESOLTED, that a contract for said construction in
accordance with the plans and specifications on file with the City Clerk of
City at said price of $17,714.00 be and the same is hereby awarded to said
Gordon B. Findlay and;
BS IT FORMR SESOLYED, that the Mayor and the City Clerk be and they
are hereby authorised and instructed to execute said agreement in the name of
and for and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach and that the City Clerk
furnish a duly executed copy thereof to said Gordon S. Findlay.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
pawed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 28th day of March, 1949, by the following
