RESOLUTION NO. 1276,5-
NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CITY DISPOSAL AREA
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach bas, for sometUW
past, been making ase of a portion of the following described
real property as a city disposal area, which said property WN
lies outside of the city boundaries of the City of Newport
Beaohl and
WHEREAS, it would be for the best interests of the
City of Newport peach and its citizens for the City of Newport
Beach to annex the portion of the hereinafter described properf
which has been used as a city disposal area;
NOW, THEREFOk'tE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counoil
of the City of Newport Beach that the following declarations
and notice be made and givens
IT IS HEREBY DECLARED that prooeediM s have been ia•
itiated by the said City of Newport Beach, a city of the Bixbb
Class, to annex the said real property as hereinafter described,
which said real property is contiguous to the present boundaries
of said City of Newport Deaoh, and whichproperty is, at the pre-
sent time, completely uninhabited.
NOTION Is HEREBY GIVEN that it is proposed by said
City of Newport Beach to annex the hereinafter described real
property to the City of Newport Beach, which said real property
shall, in these prooeedings, bear the name "City Disposal Area".
The specific description of the boundaries of the territory so
propibaed to be annexed are as follows;
Beginning at a point in the city boundary of the City
of Newport Beach, Orange County, California, said point of be-
ginning being the northwesterly corner of Lot 5, Tract No. 1136
as said Tract in laid out and shown upon a map recorded in His -
oellaneous Maps, Book 37, Pages 19 and 19, records of Orange
County, California, said point also being in the easterly line
of the State Highway, 80 feet in width, as shown upon a map of
Tract No. 464, recorded in Miscellaneous gape, Book 32, Page 1,
records of said Orange County; thence southerly along said city
boundary and along said easterly line of the State Highway to
an intersection with the center line of old County Road, as

1 shown upon a map of said Tract No. 4641 thence southwesterly
along said city boundary and along said center line of Old County
2 Road to an intersection with the northerly prolongation of the
easterly line of the County Highway, 60 feet in width, as des -
3 cribed in the petition for proposed highway, Newport Beach Road,
as recorded in Book 250, Page 73, records of said Orange County;
4 thence southerly along said city boundary and along said north-
erly prolongation and the easterly .line of said County Highway,
5 a distance of 100 feet to a points thence northwesterly along
said city boundary to a point in the northweetarly line of the
6 60 foot right of way of the California state Highway described

13 northeasterly along the northwesterly line of said property and
the northeasterly prolongation thereof to an intersection with
14 the center line of 15th Street, as shown upon a map of Newport
Heights recorded in Mocellen eons maps, Book 4, Page 83, records

20 FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that On Wednesday,
21 March 1. 1950► at the hour of 7130 P.M. on said day, at the
22 Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Newport Beach,
23 3300 West Newport Boulevard, Newport Beach, California, a hear -
24 ing will be had at which hearing emy person owning any real
25 property within the territory so proposed to be annexed, as
26 described above, may appear and object to the proposed annexa-
27 tion and show cause why such territory should not be so annexed.
