RESOLUTION NO. 3782
RESOLUTION REQUESTING ALLOCATION OF COUNTY GAS
TAX MONEY FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF BALBOA BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange,
California, on August 9, 1959, adopted a resolution allocating not
more than $110,310.00 for its gas tax monies as financial aid to
all the cities of said Orange County for the improvement of street
of benefit generally to the people of said County of Orange; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach is entitled to the sum of
$9,818.00 under the provisions of said resolution, and also the
sum of $920.15 not expended under the terms of Resolution No. 3638
of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, Balboa Boulevard (formerly Central Avenue) in the
City of Newport Beach is classed as a major city street by the
State Department of Prbli.c Vorks and will carry a large volume of
traffic from Nse -.port Beach to Balboa; and
WHEREAS, the center portion of Balboa Boulevard is unimprova-d
and the City* Council of the City of N4,-lport Beach desires to u44
the funds allocated by said County to said City under the provis
of said resolution for the improvement of said Balboa Boulevard.
NOW, TI"dRE^ORE, BE IT RESOLVEn by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, that it request, and it does hereby request
the County of Orange to allocate said City's share of said County
Gas Tax monies in the sum of $10,738.15 totuard the improvement of
said ? Balboa Boulevard, between 15th Street and 19th Streets, as

Concrete curbs along a center dividing strip and three (3)
inch plant mix pavement between said curbs and the existing con-
crete pavement.
The foregoing Rpsoluti.on is approved and signed by me this
27th day of March 1950.
