WEEREAS, the City of Newport Bleach is a nember of Sanitatira
District Noe S. which said district is a part of this Orange Coaaty
Sanitation ' Distriots, organized for the purpose of oonstruatingi
operating and maintaining a "Joint Sewerage System";. and
MMU A.S, on or about the 11th day of July, 1949, the City
Council of Newport Beach adopted Resolution No..3707, which said
resolutions approves the sale by the City of Newport Beach to
County Sanitation Districts Ros. 5 and 6 of -thy City 'of X6xport
Beach trunk line.sewers, all as set out in tho Nug egris Aepor►
of Deosisber 22, 1948, for the sum of Two 11undred Five Thousand
Seven Hundred Sixteen and no/100 Dollars (0206716,00); and .

the use of said trunk line mowers until the oompl"etion,of tie

IT IS PURTIMR RESOLVED that the City of Newport Beach
sell said trunk line sewers to County 8anitatl4 Dis-
tricts Nos. 5 and 6, for a price of Two Hundred.Five
Thousand Seven Hundred Sixteen and no/100 Dollars
($,205,716.00), the purchase price thereof; to be.paid
to the City from the proceeds of the salo,bf the bonds
authorized by the eleotion of.February 28 19490 said

that said sale be made contingent upon the pnssessiou
and operation of said trunk line sewers rem*iaing� with
the City of Newport Beach until any sufficient porticti
of the Joint Sewerage System" has been oomploted and
is capable of receiving, treating end dis:poai4 of
the sewage and effluent from said trunk 'line. sewere,
the cost of maintenance and operation thereof to, be
borne-by the City of Newport Beach, and upon such
completion, the Possession and maintonanee,_thereof
to be turned over to said Sanitation Districts and
the cost and maintenance of such trunk line mowers
thereafter to be borne by said County Sanitation
Districts Noe. 6 and 61, and
