HomeMy WebLinkAbout3813 - Annexation of Irvine-Corona del Mar ParcelC 0 P Y 1 RESOLUTION NO. 3813 2 NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF IRVINE - CORONA DEL MAR PARCEL 3 IRVINE - BAYSIDE DRIVE PARCEL 4 WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City of Newport Beach a 5 Petition from the Irvine Company requesting that the following 6 described real property be annexed, which said property now lies 7 outside the City boundaries of the City of Newport Beach; and 8 WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interests of the City 9 of Newport Beach and its citizens or the said City of Newport 10 Beach to annex the hereinafter described property; 11 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the 12 City of Newport Beach that the following notice be given: 13 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it is proposed by the City of 14 Newport Beach to annex the hereinafter described real property to 15 the City of Newport Beach, which said real property shall, in these 16 proceedings, bear the respective names, as follows: "Irvine- Corona 17I del Mar Parcel" and "Irvine - Bayside Drive Parcel ". 18 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that on Monday, July 24, 1950, at the 19 hour of 7 :30 PM on said day, at the Council Chambers of the City 20 Hall of the City of Newport Beach, 3300 West Newport Boulevard, 21 Newport Beach, California, a hearing will be had at which time any 22 person owning any real property within the territory so proposed to 23 be annexed, as hereinafter described, may appear and object to the 24 proposed annexation and show cause why such territory should not be 25 so annexed. 26 The two parcels of property herein proposed to be annexed are 27 particularly described as follows, the same being located in the u 28 County of Orange, State of California: 29 PARCEL ONE: IRVINE - CORONA DEL MAR PARCEL 30 Beginning at the point of intersection of the north- easterly prolongation of the northwesterly line of 31 Avocado Avenue (formerly 27th Street) with the north- westerly prolongation of the northeasterly line of 32 Corona del Mar, as shown upon a map recorded in Mis- cellaneous Maps, Book 3, Pages 41 and 42, Records of -1- 1 • 2 • 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 Orange County, California, said point also being in the City Boundary of the City of Newport Beach; thence northeasterly along said northwesterly pro- longation of Avocado Avenue, 600 feet to a point: thence south 650 24' east to an intersection with the northwesterly line of State Highway 184 -A, 80 feet in width, as shown on State Highway Miscell- aneous Maps, Book 2, Page 8, record of said Orange County: Thence south 240 36' west, along said north- westerly line and the southwesterly prolongation thereof, to an intersection with said northeasterly line of Corona del Mar: thence northwesterly along said northeasterly line of Corona del Mar and the northwesterly prolongation thereof, to the point of beginning. PARCEL TWO: IRVINE - BAYSIDE DRIVE PARCEL Beginning at U.S. Station 101 in the Bulkhead Line, as shown upon a map entitled, "Harbor Lines, Newport Bay Harbor, California ", approved by the War Depart- ment May 2, 1936, and on file in the office of the U.S. District Engineer, Los Angeles, California: thence due west along said Bulkhead Line between Stations U.S. 101 and U.S. 200, 1289.21 feet: thence due south 200 feet to a point in the City Boundary of the City of Newport Beach, this point being the true point of beginning: thence due north to an intersection with the northerly right of way line of Bayside Drive, 60 feet in width, as described in Deeds, recorded in Book 380, Page 217 of Official Records, Orange County, California: thence easterly along said northerly right of way line to the beginning of a curve concave to the northwest and having a radius of 50.64 feet: thence southeasterly in a direct line across Marine Avenue to a point in the northeasterly right of way line of said Bayside Drive, 50 feet in width, said point being the westerly end of a curve concave to the southwest having a radius of 725 feet: thence southeasterly along said northeasterly line of Bay - side Drive to an intersection with the City Boundary of the City of Newport Bach said point of inter- section bearing North 88 29'10" West from Station No. 75 of Patent Boundaries of the Ranco San Joaquin as per map recorded in Book 1, Page 47, of Patent Re- cords of Los Angeles County, California: thence north 88029110" West along said City Boundary to an angle - point: thence continuing along said City Boun- dary due West 350 feet, due North 300 feet, due West 250 feet, due South 300 feet and due West to the point of beginning.
